Teaching Students How to Read and Think at the Same Time
When we say that students have trouble with comprehension, what do we mean? Teaching students how to effectively interact with text (in all subjects) must be modeled so that students can eventually do it on their own. In this workshop you will be shown practical ways to teach your students What Good Readers Do in any content area. You will learn how to model Think-Alouds, why they are so important, and discover meaningful ways your students can demonstrate their thinking. This session will include application for all content areas and grade levels.
